Nice little tool I found which makes live easier for all of those who do not have expensive backup software, for all of those who never though about backups and for all of those that know that they should keep a second copy of their files but somehow keep forgetting to do it.

Simply copy your files to another drive on the Network or your machine, automate it and forget about it.

Nettes kleines tool das ich gefunden habe für alle die, die keine teure Backup Software besitzen, für alle die, die noch nicht an Backups gedacht haben und auch für die, die wissen das Sie Sicherungskopien von Ihren Daten machen sollten, aber irgendwie es vergessen oder viel zu selten machen.

Einfach die wichtigen Dinge auf eine andere Festplatte kopieren, auf der Kiste, extern oder im Netzwerk, das Ganze automatisieren und dann vergessen.

After a default installation all the mail file traffic uses gzip acros the http task on the Domino 7 Server but all the other nsf files don’t. Well, follow Manfred’s instructions and get them to use gzip as well.

Yes, there is such a thing as a Google Spam Report, this is where you can report websites which are spamming the Google Index and making search hard for you and for me. So if you know of one, send it in NOW!

Ja es gibt ihn wirklich den Google Spam Report. Also wenn ihr bei Euerer Suche über eine Website stolpert die illegale oder unfaire Tricks benutzt um im Google Index zu erscheinen und somit Eure Suche versaut dann die Seite melden.

Ich bin ja auch nicht fürs “melden”, ABER wenn am ende meine Suche einfach nur noch Müll produziert, na hör mal, da hört der Spaß dann auf.

Bei Dr. Web Weblog gibt es eine recht lange Liste von sämtlichen Generatoren für CSS, Favicons, Formulare und andere manchmal nützliche Dinge. Die meisten Tools sind in Englisch doch einige deutschen sind auch dabei.

Wherever this will ned I don’t know. Currently the lates and greates from Google is the Page Creator. Can be found under:

http://pages.google.com

Yes you will need to have a get a Googlemail account in order to use it. You “pages” will then be stored under your googlemail name (dot) googlepages.com.

Unfortunately there are too many users and not enough accounts, so I can’t tell you really more about it until I get in.

But knowing Google it will be good again and knowing Google there will be more and more services out there from Google.

Let’s wait and see.

Alle Popups sind irgendwie lästig, doch ab un zu kann man Sie brauchen. Zum Beispiel als login zu einem speziellen Bereich oder als Erkläriung einer information. Doch wenn der Popup Blocker zuschlägt ist dass dann auch nichts.

Bin über eine recht nette und vor allem gut aussehende Lösung gestolpert (siehe Link unten).

Wird mit DIVs realisiert und blendet alles andere aus und dann wieder ein wenn man fertig ist.

All Popups are in someway anoying, but once in a while they can also be usefull. Used for Login into special areas, used to explain a term on the website, etc. But at this point the popup blocker hits and that doesn’t help either.

I stumbled across a nice solution which also looks good and fullfills it purpose (check the link below).

Gets done by using DIVs and setting everything else in the background untill done with the “popup”.

Es gibt nun nicht nur den VMware Player umsonst sogar einen VMware Server. Ja, ist noch Beta, doch das hört sich doch schon mal richtig gut an.
